光緒とは中国の「清」の時代に使用された年号である。そのため、この時代を治めていた徳宗は「光緒帝」と称されている。
雲南省は、中国の西南部に現在も存在している。広大な自然が広がっている。
光緒元宝と一圓銀貨が初めて中国本土で作られた貨幣とされている。表には上下右左の順に「光緒元宝」という文字が中央に刻まれ、その周りに漢字が並んでいる。裏には竜が描かれている。
