1884年、現在の中国の北西部に位置する「新疆ウイグル自治区」に設置された行政区分である。清代に乾隆帝がジュンガルやウイグル人を征服し、西部に領土を広げた場所に設置された。新疆とは、「新しい土地」という意味がある。
民国38年（1949）に鋳造されたもので、コインには「1」と「壹圓」と刻まれている。
It is an administrative division established in “Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region” located in the present northwestern part of China in 1884. In Qing dynasty Qianlong was conquered Jungal and Uighurs and was set up where the territory spread to the west. Xinjiang means “a new land”.
It was founded in 1949 in the country of Korea, and coins are engraved with “1” and “Yuan”.
