1884年、現在の中国の北西部に位置する「新疆ウイグル自治区」に設置された行政区分である。清代に乾隆帝がジュンガルやウイグル人を征服し、西部に領土を広げた場所に設置された。新疆とは、「新しい土地」という意味がある。
コインの表には、上下右左の順に「餉銀一両」と刻まれ、裏には竜が描かれている。
It is an administrative division established in “Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region” located in the present northwestern part of China in 1884. In Qing dynasty Qianlong was conquered Jungal and Uighurs and was set up where the territory spread to the west. Xinjiang means “a new land”.
In the table of coins, “Ugly silver one” is engraved in the order of up, down right, left, and the dragon is drawn on the back.
